All that Glitters - needle-in-hand stitchery
Design based on the goldrush days, abandoned mines, high hopes, fool's gold...History & stories of those times are still "warm" in the West

Fabric is a grey-green velveteen & yarns are mostly wool. Detached Valesian stitch is used for blue "rock" shapes, random straight stitches, French knots & wrapped cords in golds. There is a second surface that has treasures of beads, etc. Moon is applied gold kid. Contrast of geometric areas vs. organic shapes adds interest.
